2021 Beneficiary - BLUE STAR FAMILIES OF CENTRAL VIRGINIA

Blue Star Families of Central Virginia, founded in 2003, is the first Virginia chapter chartered under Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. Blue Star Families of Central Virginia has focused on a number of programs, including: supporting deployed troops by sending CARE packages, sharing information with fellow Blue Star families, supporting Gold Star families in our area, supporting military personnel and veterans through partnerships with veteran organizations and raising awareness through participation in local events. Living Free is committed to providing active, non-active & retired patriot families with the skills and support necessary to face their next BIG adventure in life together. 2021 BENEFICIARY​ - Wintergreen Adaptive Sports

Now in its 17th year, Wintergreen Adaptive Sports' Wounded Warrior Program provides instruction in skiing, snowboarding, canoeing, and kayaking for all active duty and veteran service members with combat injuries or disabilities. Learn more at wintergreenadaptivesports.org/wounded-warrior

2021 BENEFICIARY - Gratitude Charlottesville

Gratitude Charlottesville seeks to express the greater Charlottesville community’s tremendous gratitude for the service and sacrifice of our local military (active, retired, and veteran) and sworn law enforcement personnel by developing, marketing, and maintaining an online directory of businesses that offer discounts for these well deserving personnel as well as recognizing local organizations that offer support for those that protect our freedom. Learn more at gratitudecville.com

2021 BENEFICIARY​ - The Veterans Committee of central Virginia - African American military Experience

ParadeRest Virginia will also benefit from the 2021 4 Our Freedom 5K. Composed of veterans, non-veterans, and representatives of the University of Virginia and Charlottesville area community, the ParadeRest Board has donated its time since 2009 towards providing ways to engage military and their families with the local community. Learn more at https://www.paraderestva.org.
